We are excited to announce the appointment of Aakarsh Shetty as the new Treasurer of the Maryam Foundation!

Aakarsh’s journey with the Maryam Library Foundation began during his freshman year of high school, when his passion for literacy and a desire to help others first drew him to our team. Now a Junior at Dublin High School, Aakarsh has become one of our most dedicated and reliable volunteers, always eager to make a difference.

Throughout his time with the foundation, Aakarsh has contributed to several major accomplishments:

• Supported large-scale book drives: Aakarsh helped collect, sort, and pack thousands of books, assisting in the shipment of books to schools and libraries across Africa.

• Built strong community connections: His positive attitude and teamwork have inspired students, teachers, and families to join our mission to promote literacy worldwide.

•  Recognized for his dedication: In 2023, Aakarsh received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for completing more than 100 hours of volunteer service.
