Knowledge Takes Flight in Kalapatti: The Maryam Foundation's Latest Library Initiative

The Maryam Library Foundation is excited to support the library’s effort at Government Higher Secondary School, Kalapatti, in Tamil Nadu. We believe that libraries are not just about books, but about creating opportunities for exploration, growth, and lifelong learning
GHSS Kalapatti: A School of Energy and Growth
GHSS Kalapatti has over 1000 students from classes 6 to 12, who are guided by 34 diligent teachers. The school provides education in both Tamil and English medium, preparing students for higher studies and their dream career. As a vibrant hub of learning, the school has the energy and commitment to make the most of an improved library.
Providing a Foundation for a Library
In 2024, OSAAT constructed a dedicated reading room for GHSS Kalapatti, creating the perfect space for a library. To bring this space to life, the Maraym Foundation filled the library with an extensive amount of books, giving students access to a diverse range of both Tamil and English resources. Together, these efforts have transformed the reading room into a room full of knowledge.
Library Project: Our Contribution to GHSS Kalapatti
Our collaboration focused on creating a library that:
Expands Access to Knowledge: Supplying a huge number of books across subjects, literature, and exam preparation.
Supports Academic Success: Equipped students with the necessary resources to prepare them for the board exam and higher education
Encourages Reading Culture: the OSAAR provided library allows for a focused environment for student to read and build their knowledge.
Build Long-Term Value: Laying a foundation that can grow with the school’s future needs.
