Making a difference
Aleeza Sagarwala, a rising junior at Presentation High School in San Jose, has long been interested in community service and the power of literacy in improving the world.
Since she was young, she has been a voracious reader, devouring book after book in a variety of subjects. This passion has continued into the present, along with a growing love of community service. She has volunteered with organizations such as Helping Hands for Relief and Development and the food bank at Santa Maria Urban Ministry, as well as being an active participant in many of the drives conducted by her school.
Through these acts, she hopes to use her values of empathy, charity, and the continuous pursuit of knowledge to work towards making the world a better place for everyone.
