Unleashing the Power of Stories: Maryam Library Foundation and OSAAT Partner to Transform Balechangappa's School Library

Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Karnataka, India, the Government Model Higher Primary School in Balechangappa (in Someshwarapalya, Mulbagal town, Kolar district) hums with the energy of young minds. With 312 students from LKG/UKG to 8th grade, the school is a beacon of quality education, committed to nurturing the potential of every child. Dedicated teachers, a bilingual curriculum (Kannada and English), and OSAAT's ODiSI digital program empower Balechangappa's students with the tools they need to thrive.

But there was one piece missing: a vibrant library.

While the school once enjoyed the support of Room to Read India, that lifeline had faded. The library room, though dedicated, lacked the magic that could truly ignite imaginations. Students, granted two library periods a week (for classes 5 and above), craved a space that whispered stories and promised endless adventures.
