Nestled amidst the verdant fields of Karnataka, India, lies Chikkahunsur village, where the Government Higher Primary School hums with the joyous chatter of young minds. With 301 students brimming with potential, from classes 1 to 8, the school is a testament to the transformative power of education. Dedicated teachers, bilingual instruction (Kannada and English for classes 1 to 5), and OSAAT's generous contribution of 4 new classrooms and a toilet block in 2022, have laid a strong foundation for progress.

But one crucial element was missing: a dedicated haven for literacy, a sanctuary where imagination could soar and stories could unfold.

While books were distributed to each class every week, and one precious period was set aside for library time, the space itself was a borrowed classroom, unable to fully embrace the magic of stories.

Library Project

This is where Maryam Library Foundation and OSAAT join hands with the school, their hearts brimming with shared purpose. Together, they're weaving a new narrative for Chikkahunsur's children, one filled with the whispered secrets of books and the boundless possibilities of imagination.

The new library won't just be a collection of shelves; it will be a:
